Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge General

 

1. What is the Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge?

The Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge is a unique competition catered for interior designers which has business operations in Malaysia. The challenge is jointly organised by Oppolock Sdn. Bhd. (Aurizn Malaysia), Volvo Car Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Volvo Car Malaysia) and Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld).

 

2. What are the prizes to be won?

The first, second, and third-placed winners will each be granted a contract to furnish 25 actual property units to be developed by the EcoWorld group of companies under the “duduk” brand. The fourth, fifth, and sixth-placed winners will each be granted a contract to furnish 14 actual property units of the same. 

Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge Participation

 

1. Who cannot participate?

Interior design firms whose associate or partners or persons who are concerned in the management of affairs are employees, family members of employees of Aurizn Malaysia, Volvo Car Malaysia or EcoWorld or their related / associated entity are not allowed to participate in the contest, directly or through an intermediary.

 

2. Who is eligible to participate?

The 2020 Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge is open to all interior design firms which has business operations in Malaysia and is legally registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)).

 

3. How to participate?

Post up drawings, renders, and actual completed photos of a completed project on your firm's official Facebook / Instagram accounts showing the living area, bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom of the said project, as well as key visuals of duduk and the EcoDesign Challenge available for download at the 2020 Volvo Cars & Aurizn Eco Design Challenge main page. Include a short caption of less than 100 words mentioning the project size layout, as well as the following tags and hashtags:

4. What supporting documents do I need to submit to complete my participation?

After completing your post, send an email to enquiry@aurizn.com with the following:

(i) URL to the post

(ii) short description of the project not exceeding 100 words

(iii) layout of submitted project

(iv) 3D render / 3D drawing and pictures of actual build showing the living area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom of the said project

(v) Company registration documents for verification purposes - Form 9, Form 13, Form 24, Form 49

 

5. I am working in a Singaporean Interior Design Firm, am I allowed to participate?

Only those from Interior Design Firms which has business operations in Malaysia and registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)) are allowed to participate.

 

6. I am about to graduate from my Interior Design course, am I eligible to participate?

Only those from Interior Design Firms which has business operations in Malaysia and registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)) are allowed to participate 

Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge Submission

 

1. What is the submission process?Head over to the 2020 Volvo Cars & Aurizn Eco Design Challenge main page and follow the steps listed.

 

2. How many entries can one (1) Interior Design Firm submit?

Each submission to consist one (1) project only. Participants are welcomed to submit as many entries as they wish, but only one (1) entry will qualify for the Final Challenge.

 

3. When is the last day of submission?

The deadline for submission falls on 10 June 2020, 11:59pm. Late submissions will not be considered or accepted.

 

Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge Finalists 

1. When will the finalists be announced?

The finalists will be announced on 17 June 2020


2. What is the Final Challenge?

For the Final Challenge, Finalists are required to design and furnish an actual 1,000 sq ft property within a budget of RM50,000-00. Further specifications and property layout will be revealed by the Organisers during the Finalists’ briefing. 

3. How do I know if I’m chosen as the finalists?

Finalists will be given advanced notice to attend a briefing session. 

4. What do I do after I am chosen as one of the finalists?

Finalists will be gathered for an online briefing session on 17 June 2020 and will be given advanced notice before the session if they are shortlisted. 

5. How much time do I have to prepare for the final challenge?

The deadline for submission falls on 17 July 2020, 11:59pm. Late submissions will not be considered or accepted. Further details in relation to submission for the Final Challenge such as specifications and property layout will be announced by the Organisers during the Finalists’ briefing. 

Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge Winners

 

1. How will be the winners be selected?

Based on the results of the online voting platform as well as a scoring system from a panel of judges, the Organisers will select a total of six (6) winners for the 2020 Volvo Cars & Aurizn EcoDesign Challenge.

 

2. When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced on 15 August 2020.
