ALL-ROUND EXCELLENCE

The advantage of our 13-litre straight six begins with its massive power and torque. Yet it also delivers low fuel consumption and dependable, long-term uptime. Our aim is always to maximise operating economy and keep your business running.

Start off your configuration by either selecting 360bhp or 490bhp for the 13-litre, or step up your game to the monolithic 16-litre 500bhp motor. Not enough? Then do consider the range-topping 730bhp Euro-6 variant that musters an amazing 3500Nm.

Transmission choices include an eight-speed or 8+1-speed standard range-change, or the range-splitter 12-speed and 12+2-speed. There’s even an automatic transmission offered that are Scania-specified Allison units. It reduces snatches and shocks, making them well suited for frequent stopping, starting and rapid acceleration. Powertrains with engines up to 490bhp can be fitted with Allison automatic gearboxes.

SAFETY & DURABILITY

Prevention and protecting, that’s the Scania way. Keeping drivers safe is paramount — whether that’s on muddy forest floor tracks, motorways or haul roads. To help improve driver safety and accident prevention, Scania trucks have safety systems and features to give drivers better feedback, vision and control.

Scania trucks are fitted with safety systems that can trigger appropriate controls. This includes ESP (electronic stability programme) to monitor key stability parameters, and Scania LDW (lane departure warning) to warn drivers if their vehicle unintentionally crosses lane markings.
